Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.” Psalms 100:4 Faith brings Praise brings faith “Then they believed His words; They sang His praise.” Psalms 106:12 NKJV Evening Praise 1 Chronicles 23:30 to stand morning by morning to thank and praise the Lord, and likewise in the evening, First step to continual praise Say hallelujah every morning It is two Hebrew words put together. “Hallel” means to praise, to boast in, to shine forth, to be worthy of praise, and to be commended. “Jah” is a shortened form of “Jehovah“, which means the Self-Existent and Eternal One. Jehovah is the name of the LORD which emphasizes that God Almighty has no beginning or end. He always has been and He always will be LORD God Almighty. There simply is none greater. When we put the two words together, we are praising the LORD with all our being, Say hallelujah 7 times today when you feel good or something good happens
Unceasing Prayer 1 Thessalonians 5:17 pray without ceasing Never stop praying Pray all the time Be persistent in prayer Pray continually Always keep on praying Pray constantly This seems like an impossible command so we will come back to it. Lets take a look at prayer in general. Matthew 26:41 Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Matthew 9:38 Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” What do I have to do-what do I get to do- Matthew 21:22 And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.” Prayer and faith Mark 11:25 “And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. Prayer and forgiveness Luke (NKJV) 18 Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart, 2 saying: “There was in a certain city a judge who did not fear God nor regard man. 3 Now there was a widow in that city; and she came to him, saying, ‘Get justice for me from my adversary.’ 4 And he would not for a while; but afterward he said within himself, ‘Though I do not fear God nor regard man, 5 yet because this widow troubles me I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.’” Persistent prayer Luke 21:36 Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.” Urgent prayer Acts 2:42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. Corporate prayer Pray together Acts 3:1 Now Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour. Scheduled prayer (a prayer buddy) Ephesians 6:18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— Pray for believers Diversified prayer Philippians 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; Pray instead of worry Pray instead 1 Thessalonians 5:25 Brethren, pray for us. Pray for your leaders James 5:16 Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. Healing prayer Lets go back to unceasing prayer This can only be through a continual walk with God, walking together, fellowship with God 1 John 1:3 that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. When you walk with God you have an ongoing conversation (unceasing prayer) with God. You are either praising Him Or you are asking of Him You are enquiring of Him You are venting to Him Or you are listening to Him Prayer is speaking and listening Pray without ceasing Fellowship with God Continual praise Unceasing prayer Perpetual word
Abiding in the word John 8 31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” Abide means to remain. Connection Remain in Relationship Know Him, love Him Seek Him Praise/worship & Prayer Walk with Him Know Him more Dependance Stay humble Need Him Cling to Him Ask of Him Continuance Always obey Live His word Live in HIs will Hear His voice Follow Our need to abide in the word The word renews our mind Our minds are constantly contaminated Romans 12:2New King James Version (NKJV) 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. The word takes our thoughts captive Mind - heart - mouth - lifestyle 1 Corinthians 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments (imaginations) and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, We see how to abide in Christ It is the same to abide in His word Stay connected to the word Stay dependent on the word Keep (Obeying) doing it
